PVA was founded September 8, 1970, by concerned individuals
who sought an institution where high scholastic standards could
be maintained.
PVA is located at 9942 Edwin Street off of the Mer Rouge Road.
The facility consists of 26 classrooms, a chemistry lab, well
maintained library, state-of -the-art computer lab, 2 gymnasiums, weight room, softball field, and excellent football field.
PVA has a competitive athletic program that competes in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) Conference.
Throughout its history, PVA has earned division and state championships in all sports, recently claiming division
championships in basketball, baseball, and softball.
